What’s the difference in a Word? Story versus Journey!

Now that I’ve transformed and realigned with myself, I’m excited to share this ongoing journey with you.

It’s a process that unfolds each day, and when rethinking during midlife, I’ve learned just how important it is to shift from living in a “story” to embracing a “journey.” Let me explain the difference.

A story is rooted in our past roles and experiences, often keeping us tied to old narratives and patterns. But a journey is about growth, self-discovery, and embracing change. It’s forward-focused—a quest to explore who we can become, not just who we’ve been.

To reconnect with yourself, it’s essential to move beyond those old stories and focus on the path ahead. The journey creates space for reinvention and new possibilities. It empowers us to evolve, create, and build a future that aligns with who we truly are. Stories, on the other hand, can keep us stuck in justifying past compromises, blocking real growth.

As I continue my own journey, healing and deepening my connection with myself, it’s incredibly fulfilling to witness other women experience their own transformations. Now, when I speak with women, I can often tell where they are in their transition by the “story” they’re still telling. If they’re still living in their stories, they’re likely at the beginning stages, needing to raise their self-awareness and fully embrace the journey ahead. Letting go of those old narratives is crucial—they no longer serve you and can block happiness and fulfillment.

Tip for the day: If you find yourself telling your story, that’s your clue to take the next step embrace change and begin your own journey.

My journey continues, ebbing and flowing with life. I’m grateful to be out of my story!

Through a variety of healing practices, I’ve learned to shield myself from the deep-rooted pressures and beliefs imprinted in my subconscious since childhood, and to heal the old wounds that have shaped me. With each layer I uncover and release, I feel a renewed sense of energy and inspiration to continue growing.

This journey brings me daily joy and inner peace, and I’m excited to share it with you as you begin your own path of transformation.
